A local church was hosting a Quinceañera. Maria (15) wanted to participate but her parents did not have enough money to buy her an appropriate dress. We donated money to allow Maria to take part of this important cultural event.
“When I gave the parents the gift cards, Maria cried tears of happiness. For the parents, the event was a chance to celebrate their daughter’s growth and strength. Alice’s Kids helped bring this magical event to life, giving Maria and her family an unforgettable experience that fostered personal growth and community engagement.”

Amanda (12) did not want to go to school because she felt self-conscious about not having new clothes for the school year. Her mother couldn't afford to buy the clothes. With a donation from Alice's Kids, her mother was able to take Amanda shopping for new clothes.
“Amanda was thrilled, her self-esteem improved, and she became more engaged in school activities. This support significantly impacted the family, as Amanda is now more willing to attend school and participate actively."

A family with four children was displaced by a house fire and they lost many items. The children were visibly upset and unable to focus in class as they struggled to cope with the trauma of the fire. Alice’s Kids quickly provided a gift certificate for essentials like blankets, pillows, and clothing.
"Two weeks later, the children have shown remarkable improvement in their emotional well-being and focus at school and their mother expressed heartfelt gratitude. Alice's Kids made a profound difference in the family's recovery process, helping them regain stability and hope."

Rebecca, a hardworking 17-year-old straight-A student and varsity basketball player, needed professional attire to attend scholarship interviews. Coming from a low-income family with parents working full-time at a fast-food restaurant, she lacked the resources to compete with her more fortunate peers in presenting herself professionally. Alice’s Kids provided funds for a suit and shoes.
"This assistance helped Rebecca make a strong first impression during these interviews. With your support, Rebecca has secured several scholarships and will attend California State Polytechnic University, majoring in architecture. The assistance boosted her confidence and helped her pursue her academic dreams."
